One of the most common inquiries received by my office relates to speeding on residential streets. When a concern is identified, City staff conduct a speed study to assess vehicle speeds. The results of the speed study are then provided to my office.
I have compiled a document of all speed studies that have taken place throughout Alta Vista in the last three years. These speed studies have been requested by residents, initiated by the City, or were repeated following the removal of Automated Speed Enforcement Cameras.
Please note that speed studies are conducted over a 24 or 48 hour period and residents are not notified in advance of when this study will take place.
